    USLA Family,

This weekend kicks off the heaviest part of the year for many of our agencies. Whether you are a guard, junior lifeguard, sponsor, volunteer, or support in other ways, we know these are difficult times for many agencies, and know you are doing your best to do your part for our shared mission of preventing drownings and supporting our lifeguards and lifeguard agencies.

USLA is pleased to announce that we have partnered in the production of America's first rip current documentary special, "Rip Current Rescue", with a dedicated study guide focusing on rip current science, safety, and survival strategies. It can be found on Vimeo and a portion of the proceeds go to USLA. It was also just released on PBS. The high-quality companion study guide can be found at www.usla.org/page/EdResources. Hopefully this most recent USLA product will be of help as you train lifeguards and educate them about rip currents, the number one hazard to beachgoers.

Good luck to you during the challenges ahead, and know that your USLA family has your back, and is working to provide tools and training to assist you in the important work of ensuring our nation's millions of beachgoers are safe.

    Be safe,

    Peter Davis
